From 20 September, 2020 to 18 December, 2020, our team of researchers will be sailing on the R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer to sample marine invertebrates living in waters off Antarctica. Our team will consist of researchers from Auburn University, The University of Alabama, Central Michigan University, and other institutions. This research will help improve understanding of the biodiversity and evolutionary history of marine invertebrates living in Antarctic waters. This will be my fourth Antarctic research cruise but it never gets old. I. AM. SO. EXCITED. Below are some of my favorite photos from cruise on the same ship that I joined in 2013.
